Genetic database resources in PD and related disorders

The PDmutDB, curated by the VIB Department of Molecular Genetics of the University of Antwerp, and the The Parkinson’s disease mutation database, curated by the Parkinson's Institute from the Leiden University Medical Center, are online mutation databases designed to provide information on causative PD genes.

A non-maintained, older version of the PDGene database can be found at http://archive.pdgene.org.

Our genetic association databases AlzGene and ALSGene provide meta-analysis results on genetic association data in Alzheimer's and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Research forums on PD and related disorders

The PD Online Research Portal presents the most up-to-date scientific news in PD and provides an overview of current funding opportunities by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

The Alzforum and the ALS Forum are dynamic web-based scientific portals dedicated to understanding Alzheimer's disease and ALS.

Data and/or biobank repositories

The NINDS Repository provides biomaterials from patients with PD and related diseases as well as from healthy controls.

NCBI's database of Genotypes and Penotypes (dbGaP) provides access to five publicly available genome-wide association study (GWAS) datasets in PD.
